Roman Stuffing

Enjoy this Italian dish with a French-Acadian twist. Ployes end up absorbing all the delicious sauce created by the vegetables. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Lbs Italian Sausage, chopped
  • 2/3 Cup Green Peppers
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minched
  • 2/3 Cup Onion, Chopped
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp Parsley, Chopped
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 1/2 Cups Ricotta Cheese

Directions:

Sauté the sausage and mushrooms in olive oil with green peppers, garlic, onion, and parsley. Add salt and pepper. Fill each ploye with about ½ cup of the sausage mixture. Add small amount of both cheeses over the mixture and than fold ploye over. Place in buttered shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
