Curried Chicken Ployes

Combine the unlikely flavor of buckwheat ployes and curry to make this savory delicacy.


  • 1 Medium Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tsp Curry Powder
  • 2 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/4 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 3/4 Lb Cooked Chicken
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juiice
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, shreddee


Combine onion and butter in a medium size saucepan, Cook over low heat until onion is soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in curry powder and cook 30 seconds. Stir in flour and cook additional 30 seconds. Gradually add broth and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in cooked chicken, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes. Put about 4 cup mixture into each ploye and roll or fold over, Line ployes in lightly greased cooking pan. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake at 375 degrees umil cheese is melted about 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
