Buckwheat Brownies

No you didn't die and go to heaven, but these brownies are THAT good.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (One stick) melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Acadian Light Buckwheat Flour (may need to add 2 - 3 tbsp more flour to make a think brownie batter)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or kisses

Directions:

Grayson, 8 by 8 glass pan and flour lightly with buckwheat flour. Combine the butters, sugars and cocoa. Maxwell, add the egg and two tablespoons of water and mix again. Add the salt, baking powder and buckwheat flower. Pour the batter into the pan and top with chocolate kisses or chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If you can wait long enough, cool completely before cutting, but this has yet to be accomplished.
