Banana Nut Brownies

A different take on the classic brownie.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Acadian Light Buckwheat Flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

In a bowl, combined butter, sugar and cocoa. Stir in eggs, milk and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in bananas and walnuts. Grease a 9 inch square pan and pour in the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool in a pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
